Tennessee Solar is a family-owned business based in Clarksville, about 40 miles northwest of Nashville. As a local, trusted electrical and solar contractor in the state, we’re committed to helping homeowners and businesses across Tennessee reduce their energy costs with solar power and battery storage solutions. From handling the paperwork and site surveys to ordering engineer-stamped designs and submitting utility interconnection applications, we cover all the details. We do not hire subcontractors, we have our own certified crews, ensuring the highest level of quality throughout the entire process. We handle inspections and coordinate with utility companies to make sure your system is fully operational and delivering the savings you deserve.

Before founding Troy Salerno Electric Inc., dba Tennessee Solar, Troy Salerno began his electrical career in 1999. With over two decades of experience in electrical and solar contracting, his commitment to quality and integrity has shaped the company's foundation and growth. Troy's hands-on expertise in electrical systems and solar integration has been instrumental in driving the success of the company and developing the skills of its employees.
Troy’s knowledge spans residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work, along with PV solar energy systems. His deep understanding of solar electrical design and installations enables him to lead the company’s design and field operations, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and efficiency. Prior to becoming a Licensed Electrical Contractor in Tennessee, Troy was a Licensed Journeyman Electrician in the Midwest and an active member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers).
Troy, alongside his wife, who serves as the company’s CEO, is dedicated to advancing renewable energy through exceptional customer service. They prioritize trust, safety, and superior project management while fostering strong relationships with contractors and clients.
